We live in an age of information overload, where we are constantly exposed to new ideas, data, and opinions. However, the Bible warns that information alone is not enough.
- Information without knowledge leads to confusion and deception.

- Instinct without wisdom leads to rash decisions and destruction.
Proverbs 2:1-6 teaches us that knowledge, understanding, and wisdom come from God and must be sought diligently. Today, we will explore the three dangers of living without these spiritual virtues and how we can guard against them.
I. The Danger of Living with Information Without Knowledge

- Information is raw data, news, or facts that can be utilized to gain insights, make decisions, and understand various situations in our daily lives and professional domains.
- Knowledge from a biblical perspective is often viewed as an understanding of God’s will and creation, characterized by a reverent fear of the Lord. It emphasizes wisdom, discernment, and moral insight, guiding individuals towards righteous living and a deeper relationship with God. Proverbs 1:7 states, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,” highlighting that true knowledge is rooted in spiritual understanding and obedience to God’s teachings.
Many people today have access to vast amounts of information—news, social media, online articles—but they do not seek knowledge. This can lead to misinformation, spiritual confusion, and a shallow understanding of truth. Information must be filtered through Scripture to become true knowledge (Proverbs 2:6).
What Happens When Someone Has Only Information But No Knowledge?

Application: Instead of forming opinions based on feelings or social trends, which can often be fleeting and unreliable, it is crucial that opinions undergo rigorous testing through Scripture, wise counsel, and reason. This approach not only grounds us in timeless truths but also encourages a deeper understanding of our beliefs and values. By consulting biblical teachings and seeking guidance from knowledgeable individuals, we can ensure that our views are aligned with a moral framework that withstands the tests of time and circumstance (Acts 17:11). III. The Danger of Living with Instinct Without Wisdom

Many people act on impulse, driven by fear, anger, or emotion, without seeking wisdom from God. The Bible warns that following human instinct without godly wisdom leads to destruction. Our instincts must be surrendered to God’s wisdom so that we act according to His will (James 1:5).
